Throwing a successful Social Media party takes proper planning and execution, Its all in the details! From making sure you have what it takes to catch the perfect Insta-worthy shots to proper media night etiquette. We want to make sure your event is inexpensive and highly effective!

Here are the tips and tricks that we have learned over time, to help you make this an event everyone will want to capture!

1. Find your target market!

Regardless of what type of brand you're trying to promote, a media party is a great way to invest a few marketing dollars on freebies for promotions!

Free drinks, half-priced appetizers or merch are great freebies to thank your press! If you don't already have a venue make sure you take the time to choose the right one!

Take your goals, mission, and target market into consideration when scouting your location!

Still don't know your market? On top of utilizing the endless analytic applications on social media, use your own consumer brain! Ask yourself, "What does my ideal consumer look like?", "What are their hobbies?"

Once you've outlined your ideal client, Reference the information from that outline to generate the right hashtags.

*Hashtags help you find users that are sharing similar content!

These hashtags give you a better chance of reaching more people in your target market! Make a list of hashtags to look into, Spending some time checking out these tags. Find Influencers who are connecting with the community and who receive similar engagement on their posts also! When you are confirming your influencers make sure they understand what they will be getting and who else is expected to be there.

I even like to attach a time table of the events happening that night so everyone knows where to jump in if they can't get there on time!

2. Outline your event.

One of the first things to consider when you begin outlining your event is what the overall goal of your media night is going to be.

Whether you want to gain more followers, generate more content for your socials, or add more content to your press reel. Make sure to set clear and specific goals! If your goal is primarily to gain more engagement on your socials be sure to include custom hashtags, incentives to take pictures.

Don’t forget to double-check your GeoTag!

It is really important that your guests are generating as much buzz on their on social’s as you are! Make sure all your guests have a list of the influencers that attended the event. Let your guests bring their own business cards, stickers, and other promo material. Get creative and use all your resources! Come up with goodie-bags add any promo material you and your guests may have and let the guests collect them at the end of the event.

3. Create an Instagramable wall.

Create a designated space to let your guests take awesome pictures. Encourage the use of your custom hashtags to really showcase what your brand has to offer.

Bright Colors, Prints, and Floral backgrounds all make really great backgrounds. Artwork, Murals, and lights all help capture gorgeous photos. Keep the Instagram wall in mind when you are searching for the right influencers. Pay attention to the types of pictures they are already taking. Make sure you keep those aspects in mind while designing your own Instagram backgrounds.

4. Don't Hate, Collaborate!

Now that you’ve chosen your influencers, designed the ground rules and decorated your venue with an awesome Instagram wall, It's time to come up with the most effective ways to gain maximum exposure!

Invite a company that shares a similar

mission!

If you’re having an event and aren’t already offering food, partner with a local food vendor in your area who fits the brand. Coffee, Alcohol, Clothes, Jewelry these are all great ideas of the types of brands you can partner with.
