Van life has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, I grew up with a trailer in my backyard that I got to hang out in it constantly. Now that I’m a full-blown mini, adult, ninja, lady, I decided to fulfill my van life fantasy one time with a night in a “Lovely” RV! My Airbnb Host Patricia was amazing and her RV was gorgeous inside and out!
Patricia’s listing is in the Broadway Heights area of San Diego. A cute and quiet hillside in the middle of the city. Just minutes away from Downtown, SDSU, and everything honestly since its right by the 94 freeway.
The Lovely Space RV felt like I was camping 45 min into San Diego’s more natural areas, yet I was in the middle of the busiest part of town.
The hills in Broadway Heights gives the area gorgeous views and so much sunlight!
As I got out of the car and onto the property, I quickly realized how great of an idea it was to stay at this listing! The Yard was spacious with another RV on the property and lots of beautiful lights decorating the area.
I loved finding all the cute décor scattered around the yard.
The actual house was a good enough distance away to have the feeling of seclusion without the feeling of being alone in an unknown area. Not a lot of traffic from other cars or loud neighbors to worry about because everyone has a nice enough sized yard that makes neighbors feel so far away! I’m really thinking I’m in Yosemite while I’m out here! All I was missing was the sounds of running water!
Stepping inside the RV was such a magical moment! Everything was setting off my cuteness meter!
The bathroom was the first thing to the left which I loved! You got to understand, I watched hundreds of hours of van conversion videos, but I had never seen anyone utilize the bathroom space quiet like this RV. The shower and the tub (yes, there was a tub!) were perfectly placed in the back or front, of the RV. Plenty of extra supplies and storage space.
A retro fridge, oven, stovetop and sink all snuggled in perfectly to create the kitchen area.
I noticed the backsplash right away and loved the attention to detail! They fit a desk area in front of the kitchen space with plenty of storage overhead. I didn’t need anything, and this listing felt just like home for me.
When I got ready for bed, I noticed the shift in temperature and it’s like Patty read my mind because as soon as I was ready to snuggle up, she brings the coziest pink fluffy blanket to my door! I played it off real slick with her but once I closed the door behind me, I freaked out and jumped right into bed.
It’s the little things like fuzzy blankets that really do it for me, and she already had one in the RV so doubling up was amazing!
I was able to work on my blogs and read a book all before getting some of the best sleep that I’ve had in months!
I got to my room late the night before but really wanted to enjoy my time in the Lovely space, so I paid a fee and extended my stay a few hours longer! I woke early got ready and had an amazing breakfast outdoors.
I noticed a cute table with a couple of chairs in a grassy area of the property and took it upon myself to make that my new workspace.
Sunbathed for the last couple hours of my reservation then went in cleaned up the room and had to say my goodbyes.
It was such a bittersweet moment having to say goodbye to this space, but I am so excited to go back hopefully to stay a few extra nights!
